It's just a midi delay effect using the internal polyphony for the delays, really really simple in theory but you could have those delays change in pitch and then couple that with the delay time, you could create some very interesting stuff. My rm1x is out of commission at the moment, the buttons are unresponsive so I can't fire it up and post an example unfortunately.
